Choose How You Give. Change a Mustang’s Future.
There is more than one way to create a safe, purposeful future for a Mustang. Whether you make a one-time gift, become a monthly donor, sponsor a horse, honor someone special, or choose another giving option, your generosity helps provide the rescue, care, training, and responsible placement every REIN horse deserves.

Giving
There are many meaningful ways to support our rescue beyond a one-time donation. Whether you’re planning your estate, managing investments, or working with your employer, these options let your generosity go further often with added tax benefits to you..
Gifts from Wills (Bequests)
Next step: Talk with your attorney about including our rescue in your will or trust. Contact us and we’re happy to provide sample language to make it simple.
Corporate Matching Gifts
Next step: Check with your HR department or search for your employer on a matching gift database to see if your donation qualifies then submit the request along with your donation receipt.
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)
If you’re 70½ or older, you can give directly from your IRA to our rescue and it may satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD) without counting as taxable income. Your gift could grow times as far with an employer match.
Next step: Contact your IRA custodian and request a QCD be sent directly to our rescue. (It must transfer straight from the IRA not through you personally to qualify.)
Donor Advised Funds (DAF)
If you already have a donor advised fund, recommending a grant to our rescue is quick and easy and if you don’t have one yet, a DAF lets you contribute now, receive an immediate tax deduction, and decide later which causes to support.
Next step: Log into your DAF provider’s portal and recommend a grant to our rescue. You’ll need our legal name, address, and EIN (available upon request).
Gifts of Stock
Donating appreciated stock, bonds, or mutual funds can be more beneficial than giving cash for you and for us. You may avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation while still receiving a charitable deduction for the full value.
Next step: Contact us for our brokerage account information, then instruct your broker to transfer the shares directly.
Gifts of Life Insurance
A life insurance policy you no longer need can become a powerful gift. You can name our rescue as a beneficiary, or transfer ownership of the policy altogether which may offer you a tax deduction along the way.
Next step: Contact your insurance provider to update your beneficiary designation or discuss transferring policy ownership.
Beneficiary Designation Gifts
Did you know you can support our rescue without ever updating your will? By naming us as a beneficiary on a retirement account, bank account, or investment account, your gift passes directly to us no probate required.
Next step: Request a “change of beneficiary” form from your bank, retirement plan, or brokerage, and list our rescue as a full or partial beneficiary.
Every gift, no matter the form, helps us rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome horses in need. If you have questions about any of these giving options, please contact us we’re happy to help, and we always recommend consulting your own financial or legal advisor to determine what’s right for your situation.
